Inoperative Vehicles
The storage of inoperative vehicles on private or public property is strictly prohibited. Wrecked, dismantled or inoperative vehicles, or parts thereof, not only create appearance violations throughout properties, but also promote blight and further neighborhood deterioration. Wrecked or inoperative vehicles left unabated may also result in additional nuisance conditions such as a harborage for rodents and insects, fire hazard, or other attractive nuisances injurious to the health, safety, and welfare of the community. Chapter 6.04 of the Montclair Municipal Code addresses abandoned, dismantled, and inoperative vehicles.
