Attention Montclair Community

Effective immediately, and until rescinded, dine–in restaurants within the City of Montclair will be allowed to temporarily create or expand al fresco (outdoor) dining areas notwithstanding any preexisting limitations imposed under the Montclair Municipal Code. This City of Montclair Community Guidance is based on provisions of Dine–In Restaurants Guidance issued by the California Department of Public Health updated on Thursday, July 2, 2020 and Guidance on Closures of Sectors in Response to Covid–19 by Governor Newsom and the California Department of Public Health published on July 1, 2020.


In efforts to provide more testing opportunities for San Bernardino County residents, community testing events are being held throughout the county. At these testing events, samples are collected by inserting a swab up the nostril or into the mouth to the throat. These samples are then sent to a laboratory for COVID-19 testing. Events are free of charge and do not require health insurance.


On May 14, 2020, the County of San Bernardino launched the COVID-Compliant Business Partnership Program to support local small businesses and help ensure ongoing compliance with State and County health orders and direction.

Applicant fingerprinting is available by appointment only. Call (909) 448-3600 to make an appointment.

Please allow sufficient time to park and arrive at the Police Department on time. Plan to arrive at least five minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. Late appointment arrivals will be forfeited, and it will be necessary to reschedule another appointment. Please have your completed livescan form and a valid form of government-issued identification with you for the appointment.


Applicant fingerprints are processed at the Montclair Police Department, located at 4870 Arrow Highway, at the northwest corner of Monte Vista Avenue and Arrow Highway.

Fingerprint Options and Fees

Electronic live-scan (rolling fee) - $15
Additional Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Cal-ID fees apply and vary based on the applicant agency and position. Applicants must have an ORI number and livescan form from the applicant agency in order to be processed.

Applicants processed for agencies that provide a valid billing code will only be charged $17 (rolling fee and $2 Cal-ID fee) at the time of fingerprinting. The remaining balance (DOJ and FBI fee) is billed to the applicant agency.


A valid form of government-issued identification, such as a driver's license, military identification card, or passport, is required.

Livescan Form

A livescan form bearing an ORI number from the agency requiring the fingerprinting to be done must be presented at the time of the livescan appointment. Livescan transactions cannot be processed without this form.

Payment Method

Cash, check, money order, and credit cards are accepted.

Livescan Results

Livescan transactions are processed electronically, and the results are sent directly to the agency affiliated with the ORI number on the livescan form by the DOJ. The Montclair Police Department does not have the results and cannot provide that information to you. Questions regarding whether or not results have been sent by the DOJ can be answered by calling its automated number at (916) 227-4557. The ATI number located at the bottom of the livescan form and date of birth of the applicant are required to obtain information from the automated system.
