How do I obtain a parking permit?

Contact City Hall at (909) 626-8571 for information about the types of permits available and the requirements for their issuance.

Residential parking zones on City streets are established in certain areas of the City where there is a high demand for parking but a limited number of parking spaces. The intent of residential parking zones is to give residents in that area, or residents on one side of a street, parking in front of their homes. If you live in an area with residential parking restrictions, you may obtain a parking permit or permits by going to the information counter at City Hall. You must show your driver's license proving that you live at a location within the parking zone and copies of vehicle registrations showing that the vehicles are registered at that address.Temporary visitor parking permits are also available for guests.

I want to request a no parking zone.

Most public streets in the City are wide enough to accommodate parking on both sides of the street. In some cases, however, the extent of on-street parking may make two-way traffic difficult or cause sight-distance problems making it difficult to see opposing traffic when exiting a driveway. In these situations it may be necessary to restrict parking. The City Engineer may find it necessary to paint red curb near the driveway to improve sight-distance.The City Engineer may be contacted at (909) 625‑9441 for requests to consider no parking zones.

I need to have the red curb painted.

Please contact the City Engineer at (909) 625-9440 to request to have the curb painted.

I need my street address repainted.

The City does not provide this service. Private charitable organizations will repaint a street address to raise funds. If you are contacted to have your address repainted, please verify that the organization has a business license and permit.

If you have any questions please contact the Operations Division Monday through Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at (909) 625-9480.

Are street sweeping restrictions enforced on holidays?

No, the restrictions are not enforced because there is no street sweeping on those days.

Holidays include: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Can I trim or cut down my parkway tree?
