Tipsters providing information leading to arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the crime may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.

June 1, 2017 10:26 a.m.
800 block of Orchid Street, Upland

On June 1, 2017 at about 10:26 a.m., Detectives from the Montclair Police Department were in the City of Upland, following up a possible lead on an identified armed robbery suspect from an incident that occurred on May 30, 2017.  Detectives were driving in the 800 block of Orchid Court, when the suspect was seen near a vehicle.  The suspect attempted to flee in the vehicle and abandoned his car near the end of the cul-de-sac.  A second unknown suspect also fled from the vehicle. 

The Upland Police Department immediately began to assist while other Montclair Police Department personnel responded to the scene.  The robbery suspect led officers on an extensive foot pursuit through a school and within the surrounding neighborhood.  The robbery suspect was located hiding under a vehicle in the 700 block of Magnolia Avenue and was taken into custody without incident.  The unknown suspect avoided apprehension and his involvement is under investigation.  A firearm was located in the abandoned suspect vehicle.  The robbery suspect is currently being held on robbery and firearms related charges. 

The incident from May 30, 2017 was a robbery involving two armed suspects.  It occurred during a sales transaction in the 4500 block of Mission Boulevard, in the City of Montclair.  The victim agreed to meet with the suspect for the sale of items.  The second suspect is still outstanding at this time.  The Montclair Police Department is following up leads, including any connections to other similar incidents.

Suspect #2 - Black male adult, 20 years of age, 5'8" to 5'10", 160 - 190 pounds with medium length twists in hair.

May 8, 2017 4:03 p.m.
9419 Central Avenue

The suspect entered the Wienerschnitzel and brandished a black semi-automatic pistol. The suspect demanded the money from the cash register. The clerk emptied the register and placed $500 of U.S. currency in a white plastic bag. The suspect fled with the money to the awaiting listed vehicle, and was last seen driving southbound through the alley towards Palo Verde Street.

Suspect #1 - Male, 20-25 years of age, 185 pounds, and average build, wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt.
Suspect vehicle - Mid 2000s Ford Expedition, dark gray, unknown license plate. The vehicle had a roof rack and tinted tail light covers.

 

May 1, 2017 10:00 a.m.
10292 Central Avenue

Police officers arrived to the scene and located an employee who stated an unnamed subject was found deceased in a back office. Officers entered the business and found the subject in an office hanging from exercise equipment. Montclair Fire Department arrived and pronounced the subject deceased at the scene. San Bernardino County Deputy Coroner responded to the location and stated the apparent cause of death was suicide.

 

April 27, 2017 2:59 p.m.
4700 Canoga Street

On 4/27/17 at 1459 hours, officers responded to shots fired in the 4700 block of Canoga Street. The victim was located and stated he had been in a verbal altercation with the suspect. The suspect returned to his residence and retrieved an unknown firearm. The suspect discharged the firearm at the victim's residence striking a window and damaging the structure. The suspect fled, prior to officers arriving, in the listed vehicle from the location. Officers were able to locate and retrieve the firearm used at the scene. There were no victims that were injured. The suspect was identified and is still outstanding. The investigation is still ongoing.

Suspect #1 - Alfredo Vasquez, Hispanic male adult, 32 years of age, 5'7", 200 pounds, brown hair and green eyes.

February 28, 2017 3:31 p.m.
10200 Monte Vista Avenue

On 2/28/17 at approximately 1531 hours, victim #2 was babysitting her younger sister. She heard a knock at their front door. When she looked out the front door peep-hole, she saw an unidentified suspect standing on their porch. Becoming suspicious and feeling afraid, victim #2 hid inside the residence with her younger sister. She subsequently telephoned her mother and told her the suspect was knocking on their front door. While speaking with her mother, victim #2 heard the suspect kicking the front door. The suspect was able to gain entry into the residence. Victim #2 heard the suspect enter the master bedroom, which is adjoined to the bathroom she hid in. Victim #2 heard the suspect ransacking her mother's property. Shortly after, the suspect left the residence without discovering victim #2 hiding in the bathroom. Montclair Police Officers to include a K-9 Officer, conducted an extensive search for the suspect, however he was not located and remains outstanding.

Suspect #1 - Black male adult between 20 to 30 years of age. Suspect had a bald head wearing a dark colored sweatshirt and jeans.

 

February 27, 2017 10:40 p.m.
8972 Central Avenue

At 2240 hours, we received a call from Carl's Jr. Restaurant regarding a robbery which had just occurred. The victim and his co-worker were robbed at gun point after the suspect entered the restaurant and produced a handgun demanding the money from the register and safe. The suspect then ordered the victims in the office and he fled in an unknown direction. The area was searched and the suspect was not located.

Suspect #1 - Hispanic male adult in his 30s. Suspect is 5'5", 145 pounds, with blue eyes wearing all black clothing.

 

January 14, 2017 3:22 p.m.
4830 Canoga Street

Officers responded to the 4800 block of Canoga Street regarding an altercation and "shots fired." Officers arrived within minutes and located a victim lying on a second floor balcony with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers began life saving efforts, however the victim was transported and pronounced deceased at a local area hospital. A second victim was located at another hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and was in stable condition. One suspect was arrested and charged with murder, attempted murder, and a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. He was booked at the West Valley Detention Center. A second subject was arrested and released after questioning. The investigation in ongoing and the Montclair Police Department is seeking information as to any other person(s) of interest involved in the incident. January 14, 2017 6:10 a.m.
9015 Central Avenue

On 1/14/17 at approximately 0610 hours, three Black male adults robbed a Starbucks at gunpoint. One suspect hit victim #3 several times in the head before making him unlock a safe. One suspect made victim #2 open a cash register at gunpoint. In total the suspects stole approximately $900. The suspects then fled the scene on foot.

Suspect #1 - Black male adult, 23 - 25 years of age wearing a red sweatshirt, black jeans, and black shoes.

Suspect #2 - Black male adult, 23 - 25 years of age wearing a red sweatshirt, black jeans, and black Jordan shoes.

Suspect #3 - Black male adult, 23 - 25 years of age wearing a black leather sweatshirt or leather jacket.
