Electronic Waste (E-Waste) includes:

 Televisions  Fax machines
 Copiers
 Computer monitors
 Scanners  Cell phones
 Computer CPUs
 Printers  PDAs

As of February 8, 2006, batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, and mercury-containing thermostats and thermometers, called Universal Wastes, may  no longer be placed in the trash.

The above information made available by the Department of Toxic Substances Control and California Integrated Waste Management Board.

Universal Waste (U-Waste) includes:

 Fluorescent light tubes
 Mercury switches and devices
 Mercury thermometers
 Batteries - AA, AAA, C, and D

 Videocassette recorders
 Video compact disc players
 Home entertainment systems
 Cell phones
 Car batteries
 

The following items will not be accepted:

 Refrigerators  Microwave ovens
 Washers and dryers
 Light bulbs
 Household batteries
 Paints
 Solvents  Used oil
 Hazardous waste
 Air conditioners
