Classes, Workshops and Activities

All classes meet at the Montclair Senior Center, 5111 Benito Street, Montclair (behind City Hall) unless otherwise noted. For more information call the Montclair Senior Center at (909) 625-9483.

 

Montclair Senior Citizen's Club 

Membership is for persons over the age of 50 and the cost is $10 per year. The membership is from April 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017. With your membership, you will be mailed a monthly newsletter of all upcoming events and programs. For more information call 625-9483.

Senior Information Workshops & Programs 

FREE (unless noted)- The City of Montclair Human Services Department is hosting various seminars and events. We invite you to attend. These programs will be held in the Senior Center. Please RSVP to 625-9483 if you plan on attending. Refreshments will be served.

Changing Negative Thoughts

A representative from West End Family Counseling Services will be discussing how to change negative thoughts. RSVP to 625-9483

Lunch with Montclair Fire Department Firefighters

Thu, Oct 13 * 11:30 am-12:30 pm

This event will be held in the Senior Center at regular lunch. You must RSVP to 625-9483 for this event no later than Tuesday Oct. 3. Participants are encouraged to wear red.

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren

West End Family Counseling will be talking on challenges and services that are provided to those grandparents who are raising their grandchildren. Please RSVP for this event by calling 625-9483.

Veteran's Day Dance

Wed, Nov 9 * 3-6 pm

Montclair Senior Center will be hosting a dance in honor of our United States Veterans! The cost of the event is $5 per person unless you are a United States Veteran there will be no charge for you or your spouse. Special refreshments will be served. You must purchase your ticket in advance by Monday, November 7; tickets are available at the Montclair Senior Center front desk.

Bird Show

All ages! You must RSVP for the event by calling 625-9483. Refreshments will be served. The event will take place at the Montclair Senior Center.

DMV Presentation

Tue, Dec 13 * 10-11:30 am

A representative will be discussing senior citizen myths about the DMV and also programs that benefit senior drivers. You must RSVP to 625-9483. Refreshments will be served.

Afternoon at the Movies

Once a month, a FREE movie will be shown in the Senior Center at 1:00 p.m. Popcorn and lemonade will be provided. Candy and nuts will be on sale for $1.00 each, monies raised benefit the senior programs.

*Every Tuesday in the month of September a movie will be shown.
